We carry out leadwork as part of roofing projects and as a standalone service where existing leadwork has become damaged or needs replacing.

Lead flashing repairs - cracked, loose or damaged sections can be repaired where the existing lead is still suitable.
Lead flashing replacement - badly deteriorated or failed leadwork can be removed and replaced where repair is no longer practical.
New lead flashing - new leadwork can be installed around chimneys, roof junctions, valleys, abutments and other areas requiring a secure seal.
Chimney leadwork - damaged flashing around chimneys can be repaired or replaced to help prevent water entering around the junction.
Roof junctions and abutments - lead can be installed or repaired where different sections of the roof meet and need to be properly sealed against rainwater.
Leadwork as part of larger roofing work - flashing and other lead details can be dealt with as part of a wider roof repair, replacement or new roof.

The condition of the existing lead and the surrounding roof will determine whether a repair or replacement is appropriate. Where the lead is still suitable, the affected section can be repaired. If it has deteriorated too far, new leadwork can be fitted instead.

Doing the job right because it's right, not just to the point where you can get away with it. We have a large flat roof section with a skylight and chimney complicating it, and they've done a work of art. Guttering and tiles sorted too. And all for a fair price. Nice guys who listen too. 1. What is lead work used for on a roof?

Lead is commonly used around areas where different parts of a roof meet, including chimneys, valleys, walls and abutments. It helps form a watertight junction and directs rainwater away from vulnerable areas.

2. What are the signs that lead flashing needs repairing?

Cracked or split lead, loose sections, lifted edges, visible gaps and water coming into the property can all indicate damaged flashing. If you notice any of these signs, the leadwork and surrounding roof can be inspected.
